On the night of 28–29 July 2022, russia cynically murdered Ukrainian prisoners of war at the penal colony in Olenivka. Dozens of defenders were killed and dozens more suffered severe injuries.
This crime was yet another testament to a gross violation of international humanitarian law and the treatment of prisoners of war. Remembering the victims of Olenivka is not only about grief. It is about responsibility — about the need to establish the truth and bring those responsible to justice.
Today we honour the memory of everyone whose life was cut short in Olenivka, and we stand with their families.
We continue to document international crimes, provide legal support to victims, and cooperate with national and international partners so that no war crime is left without a proper legal assessment.
We remember. We fight for justice.
